Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University (MAKÜ) achieved significant success in the 2025 Asia University Rankings published by Times Higher Education (THE), placing it among the best universities in Asia. In the evaluation conducted by THE, one of the leading higher education ranking organizations in the world, MAKÜ was positioned in the 601+ band in the overall Asia ranking.
The university scored between 13.6-28.2 under the general performance category. Notably, MAKÜ received a remarkable score of 32.9 in the “Research Quality” category, 18.7 in “Industry Income,” 23.6 in “International Outlook,” 11.5 in “Research Environment,” and 18.8 in the “Teaching” category. These data indicate that the university has made significant progress both academically and internationally.
MAKÜ also achieved significant success at the national level by ranking in the 34+ band among 111 universities in Turkey. This result shows that the investments made by the university in critical areas such as scientific research, teaching quality, and collaboration with industry are bearing fruit.
This success of Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University also contributes to making the Turkish higher education system more visible on the international stage.
